Terra Cotta is suitable for sculpting or throwing. Ideal where thick cross sections are required. The basic clay for this body is a red-burning, native Texas clay that fires from cone 04 – cone 5. Bisque firing should be from cone 06 to cone 04. Color is controlled by temperature, becoming darker at higher temperatures. Contains 8% grog.
